These savory quinoa pea balls are a delightful, crunchy snack, packed with herbs and spices, and baked to a perfect golden brown.

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup of peas
  2. 1 cup of quinoa
  3. 1 small cup of cottage cheese
  4. 1 cup of oat flour (cornmeal, whole wheat flour, etc., can also be used)
  5. 1 egg
  6. 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  7. 1 packet of baking powder
  8. 1/2 bunch of parsley and dill
  9. 1 teaspoon of basil, mint, oregano
  10. 1 teaspoon of cumin
  11. 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  12. 1 teaspoon of crushed red pepper
  13. 1 teaspoon of salt

Instructions

  1. First, shell the peas and boil them.
  2. Rinse 1 cup of quinoa thoroughly by rubbing it, then soak it in water for 30-35 minutes.
  3. Boil the quinoa in hot water for about 10 minutes and then drain.
  4. Finely chop the parsley and dill.
  5. Mix all the ingredients except for the peas until well combined.
  6. Finally, add the peas and shape the mixture.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F).
