Plum Juice

Refresh with this naturally sweet and vibrant Plum Juice, made from ripe red plums and lightly sweetened to enhance their rich, fruity flavor. Perfectly chilled for a cool, invigorating drink.

Ingredients

  1. 1 kg red plums
  2. 1.5 liters of water
  3. Half a Turkish tea glass of sugar (adjust to taste)

Instructions

Prepare the Plums:

  1. Wash the plums and place them whole in a pot.
  1. Add water and cook until the plums burst and become very soft (about 1 hour).

Cool and Blend:

  1. Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool for about 30 minutes.
  1. Transfer the plums to a sieve and use a ladle or your hands to mash and strain them to get the plum puree.

Finish Cooking:

  1. Return the plum juice and puree to the pot, add the sugar, and cook for an additional 15 minutes.

Chill:

  1. Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool. Once slightly warm, refrigerate until cold.
