Ingredients

  1. 1 cup warm water
  2. 1/3 cup warm milk
  3. 2.5 teaspoons instant yeast
  4. 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  5. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  6. 3/4 teaspoon salt (1/2 teaspoon + 1/4 teaspoon)
  7. Flour (approximately 3-4 cups, until a soft, non-sticky dough is achieved)

Instructions

  1. First, place 2 cups of flour into a mixing bowl and make a well in the center.
  2. Into this well, add the warm water, warm milk, granulated sugar, yeast, and vegetable oil. Place the salt around the edges of the flour. Gradually add more flour while mixing until you achieve a soft, non-sticky dough. ⭐(If you use cold water and milk, the yeast won't activate. If they are too hot, they might kill the yeast. The mixture should be warm enough to slightly warm your pinky finger.)
  3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes, as shown in the pictures, until smooth and elastic. Cover it with a plastic wrap or a clean kitchen towel and let it rest for at least 1 hour, up to 1.5 hours, to rise. (Proper kneading is a crucial step for all yeast doughs, so don't skip it.)
  4. After the rising time, your dough should have doubled in size and be beautifully puffed. Knead it briefly to release the gas, then you can start rolling it out.
  5. Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the dough to your desired size using a rolling pin. You can then prepare delicious pizzas with your favorite toppings.
