Pasta with Pesto Sauce
Delicious pasta with creamy pesto sauce made from penne pasta cooked to perfection and combined with a rich blend of heavy cream and ready-made pesto. Finished with a touch of olive oil, this easy and flavorful dish is perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a satisfying meal any day.
Ingredients
- Half a pack of penne pasta
- 1 pack of heavy cream
- 2-3 tablespoons of ready-made pesto sauce
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil or vegetable oil
- Salt
Instructions
Boil the Pasta:
- Fill a large pot with plenty of water and bring it to a boil.
- Once boiling, add half a teaspoon of salt.
- Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions, usually 9-10 minutes.
Prepare the Sauce:
- When the pasta is nearly done, heat a little vegetable oil in a suitable pan.
- Add the pesto sauce and stir.
- Add the heavy cream and heat the mixture.
Combine Pasta and Sauce:
- Simmer gently without bringing it to a full boil.
- Drain the pasta and add it to the sauce.
- Stir to ensure all the pasta is coated with the sauce.
Serve:
- Pesto pasta is ready to serve. Serve immediately without letting it cool.
