Cinnamon rolls
Homemade cinnamon rolls are a delightful and sweet treat that's perfect for breakfast or as a snack with a warm cup of coffee. These soft and fluffy rolls are swirled with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar, creating a warm and comforting flavor that's loved by many.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of warm milk
- 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 packet of active dry yeast
- 4 cups of all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 3 tablespoons of room-temperature butter
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons of ground cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons of room-temperature butter
- 4 tablespoons of cream cheese
- 3 tablespoons of room-temperature butter
- 1 packet of vanilla extract
- 6 tablespoons of powdered sugar
Instructions
- 1For the dough, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Add eggs and butter to the mixture. Gradually incorporate flour into the wet mixture and knead the dough in a bowl for 15 minutes. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour.
- 2Roll out the risen dough on a greased surface into a rectangular shape. Spread soft butter on the dough and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top.
- 3Roll the dough into a thick log and cut it into pieces about 2-3 inches wide. Arrange the dough pieces on a baking tray with gaps between them. Cover the tray with a cloth and let it rise for another twenty minutes.
- 4Bake the risen dough in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden brown. For the icing, mix cream cheese, butter, vanilla, and powdered sugar.
- 5Once the cinnamon rolls have cooled slightly, spread the icing on top. Enjoy your meal!
