Chickpea Hummus

A classic chickpea hummus that's healthy, gluten-free, and full of flavor. Smooth and creamy, this appetizer blends chickpeas with tahini, garlic, lemon juice, and spices, topped with a paprika-infused olive oil for an extra kick.

Ingredients

  1. 2 cups of cooked chickpeas
  2. 1/2 cup of tahini
  3. 2 cloves of garlic
  4. Juice of 1 lemon
  5. 2 teaspoons of cumin
  6. 2 teaspoons of salt
  7. 3 tablespoons of olive oil

For the topping:

  1. 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  2. 2 teaspoons of paprika

Instructions

  1. Soak the chickpeas overnight and cook them thoroughly. (or you can use pre-cooked chickpeas.)
  2. Peel the well-cooked chickpeas individually.
  3. In a food processor, blend the chickpeas with olive oil, tahini, crushed garlic, lemon juice, salt, and cumin until smooth.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a serving plate.
  5. In a small pan, heat the olive oil and add the paprika.
  6. Stir, remove from heat, and drizzle over the hummus.
  7. Enjoy!
