Enjoy a hearty dinner with tender grilled chicken breasts served over a rich, savory gumbo sauce made with sautéed onions, green onions, parsley, and a blend of chicken broth, soy sauce, and balsamic vinegar, all garnished with fresh chives.

Ingredients

  1. 1 onion
  2. Half a cup of olive oil
  3. Half a cup of flour
  4. 1 bunch of green onions
  5. Half a bunch of parsley
  6. 1 red bell pepper
  7. 3 cups of chicken broth
  8. 1 tea glass of soy sauce
  9. 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  10. 2 bay leaves
  11. Salt
  12. Black pepper
  13. 4 pieces of chicken breast

For topping:

  1. Chives

Instructions

  1. Sauté the onion, sliced into thin half-moons, in olive oil.
  2. Add the flour and cook until it thickens.
  3. Add the finely chopped green onions and parsley, and cook.
  4. Add the chicken broth, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, bay leaf, salt, and black pepper, and continue cooking.
  5. Grill the chicken breasts in a grill pan.
  6. Transfer the cooked sauce to a serving plate.
  7. Place the grilled chicken on top of the sauce.
  8. Garnish with finely chopped chives and serve.
