Gluten-Free
Quick and easy Brussels sprouts with yogurt. This healthy, gluten-free dish features tender Brussels sprouts topped with creamy garlic yogurt and a drizzle of spicy butter. A nutritious and flavorful side that’s perfect for any meal.
Ingredients
- 1 kilogram Brussels sprouts
- 1.5 liters of boiling water
- 1.5 teaspoons of salt
- 2 cups of yogurt + a little salt
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 2-3 tablespoons of butter
- 1 teaspoon of ground red pepper
Instructions
- Remove and discard 2-3 of the outer leaves of the Brussels sprouts.
- Trim the stems slightly, rinse them thoroughly with plenty of water, and drain.
- In a large pot, boil water and add salt. Add the Brussels sprouts and cook over medium heat for 25 minutes until they soften.
- Be careful not to overcook them to the point of breaking apart; checking with a fork is enough.
- Drain the cooked Brussels sprouts and let them cool (if desired, you can rinse them in cold water and drain again; they will cool faster and remain firmer, but the choice is yours).
- Place the Brussels sprouts on a serving plate.
- Pour the garlic yogurt over the top.
- Drizzle the buttered red pepper over the top and serve. Enjoy your meal!
