Banana Bread
Delicious and moist Banana Bread with chocolate chips and walnuts, perfect for a sweet treat. Easy to make and ideal for breakfast or snacks.
Ingredients
- 3 bananas
- 2 cups of flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Slightly less than 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Vanilla sugar (optional)
- Slightly less than 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- Half a cup of butter (can be less)
- Desired amount of chocolate chips
- Chopped walnuts
Instructions
Combine Dry Ingredients:
- Mash the bananas in a bowl.
- Add flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and vanilla (if using) to the mashed bananas.
- Mix well.
Prepare Wet Ingredients:
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, sugar, and butter until well combined.
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:
- Add the wet mixture to the banana mixture.
- Mix until combined.
Add Mix-Ins:
- Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
Prepare the Baking Pan:
- Grease a loaf pan and sprinkle with sugar.
⏲️ Bake:
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 170-180°C (340-355°F) until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool and Serve:
- Allow to cool before removing from the pan.
Note:
- For a baby-friendly version, you can substitute sugar with carob powder and omit the chocolate chips.
- This recipe is more like a sweet bread rather than a traditional cake.
