Ingredients
For the Salmon:
- 3 slices of salmon fillet (500g)
- 3 large potatoes
- 2 cloves of grated garlic
- Juice of half a lemon
- Half a small cup of olive oil
- Salt, black pepper
For the Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1 tablespoon of flour
- 250ml milk
- 1 clove of grated garlic
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
- Half a bunch of finely chopped dill
- Salt
- Black pepper
Instructions
- Peel the potatoes and place them in salted water. Bring to a boil and cook for 20 minutes once the water starts boiling. Remove from heat.
- For the salmon marinade, mix the grated garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
- Rub this mixture over the salmon. Also, rub the remaining marinade onto the potatoes, cut into long quarters.
- Line a suitable baking tray with parchment paper.
- Place the salmon and potatoes on the tray and bake in a preheated oven at 190°C (375°F) (top/bottom heat) for 25 minutes. Do not overcook the salmon.
- For the sauce, melt the butter in a sauce pan. Add the grated garlic and sauté for about half a minute.
- Add the flour and cook until the raw smell of the flour is gone, then add the milk and continue to stir.
- When it starts to boil, add the lemon juice, dill, salt, and black pepper.
- Reduce the heat to the lowest setting and cook for 1 minute.
- Remove from heat. Place the salmon and potatoes on a serving plate and drizzle the sauce over the salmon.
